We expect the team to travel a point to point route in the eastern sierras, 10 to 20 miles in length, while carrying a full winter pack and basic communications and first-aid gear. The level of commitment and risk for this trip will be higher than most trainings. Six-eight weeks prior to the trip, we will meet in person to discuss safety factors, contingencies, team dynamics and communication, etc. We will put extra emphasis on individual and team preparation, in order to efficiently travel in the mountains with wide margins of safety.
